Policies and Service Agreements
Thank you for choosing The Tressing Room! These policies are designed to help create a safe, positive, and transparent experience for every child and family. Please read each section carefully before signing.

Section A: Appointment Policies

I understand appointments are by reservation only.
I understand my appointment request is subject to review and approval before it is confirmed.
I understand the studio address will be provided only after my appointment has been approved.
I understand a deposit is required to reserve an appointment.
I understand final pricing may change if the requested service differs from the information submitted.
I understand appointments may be shortened, rescheduled, or canceled if I arrive more than 10 minutes late.
I understand appointments must be rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance to transfer my deposit.
I understand two (2) no-shows may result in refusal of future appointments.

Section B: Drop off & Pickup Policy

I understand The Tressing Room is a drop-off home studio.
I understand I must remain within approximately 15 minutes of the studio during my child's appointment.
I understand I must remain reachable by phone throughout the appointment.
I understand I may be asked to return immediately if my child cannot safely continue the appointment.
I understand my child must be picked up within 15 minutes after the appointment has ended.
I understand additional fees or refusal of future services may result from repeated late pickups.
I understand The Tressing Room is not a childcare facility.
Section C: Home Studio & Livestream Policy

I understand the studio address is shared only with confirmed clients.
I agree not to share the studio address publicly.
I agree not to share security procedures or studio access information.
I understand livestream access is temporary and intended only for the child's parent or legal guardian.
I will not share livestream access.
I will not record, screenshot, or distribute livestream content.
I understand livestream access may occasionally be unavailable due to technical issues.
Section D: Hair Services

I understand final results depend on my child's hair condition, density, length, and cooperation.
I understand excessive tangling, matting, or inaccurate information may require additional time, additional fees, a modified service, or rescheduling.
I understand services may be modified or discontinued if necessary to protect my child's comfort or hair health.
I understand hairstyle longevity depends on proper home maintenance
I understand that the final hairstyle may be modified if necessary to protect my child's hair, scalp, comfort, or overall well-being.
Section E: Health, Safety & Comfort

I confirm I have disclosed all known allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, and behavioral or sensory needs relevant to my child's appointment.
I agree not to bring my child if they have a contagious illness, lice, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, pink eye, ringworm, or another contagious condition.
I understand The Tressing Room does not administer medications.
I understand routine diaper changes are the responsibility of the parent or guardian unless I have provided prior written authorization permitting The Tressing Room to assist when necessary.
I understand I am responsible for informing The Tressing Room of my child's toileting routine and any assistance they may require.
Section F: Emergency and Child Safety

I authorize reasonable efforts to contact me first if an emergency occurs.
I understand every reasonable effort will be made to contact me before emergency decisions are made whenever circumstances safely allow.
If I cannot be reached, I authorize The Tressing Room to contact my listed emergency contact.
If emergency medical treatment appears necessary, I authorize The Tressing Room to contact emergency medical services (911) before I or my emergency contact can be reached.
I understand I remain financially responsible for any emergency medical care or transportation provided.
I understand that if neither I nor my emergency contact can be reached and my child is not picked up within a reasonable time after repeated contact attempts, local authorities may be contacted when necessary to ensure my child's safety.
Section G: Parent Responsibilities

I understand text messages are the preferred method of communication for non-urgent matters before and after appointments.
I agree to communicate respectfully.
I understand siblings or additional guests are not permitted unless previously approved.
I agree not to enter private areas of the home.
I understand routine calls, FaceTime requests, and non-emergency interruptions during appointments are discouraged to help maintain a calm environment.
I understand routine progress updates are not guaranteed during appointments so the stylist can remain focused on my child's safety and service.
I understand abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of services and refusal of future appointments.
Section H: Documentation

I understand photographs may be taken during the appointment for documentation purposes, even if I decline marketing or social media permission.
I understand these photographs will never be publicly shared without my separate written consent through the Photo & Video Authorization form.
